Signature Policy

We use "Shipper Release," allowing FedEx to leave packages if deemed safe.

Signature may be required for businesses, apartments, or condo complexes, and orders over 500.00

Apartment and Office Deliveries ( Make sure your address information is correct and accurate, including gate codes and access procedures!)

One delivery attempt will be made.

If delivery is unsuccessful due to incorrect information, the recipient may need to pick up at the local FedEx depot, or your order may be delayed being delivered and this is not the responsibility of Lobsterguy and or Fed Ex.

Accurate apartment numbers and gate codes/ access if necessary must be provided on your order to ensure timely delivery

Warm Weather Considerations

We put a lot of care and effort into packing your order, but please use common sense when receiving your order in a warm climate, the box is a shipping container, be ready to accept it and unpack your product, we want you to have a great experience!

Packages should not be left unattended in warm climates, make sure someone is available to accept your package please.

We strongly recommend prompt retrieval to prevent spoilage.

Weather-Related Delays

We watch the weather carefully, and we reserve the right not to ship if we deem the weather is going to delay your order! If we feel weather will be an issue we will reach out to you to get you rescheduled!

FED EX can on occasion advise us not to ship perishables due to weather affecting certain areas of the country and or there distribution hubs. You may not see it where you are, but it can pose a delay in transit to your location, and if they say don't ship, we don't ship and will notify you to reschedule delivery.

Weather delays are Considered "Acts of God" by FedEx.

Neither The Lobster Guy nor FedEx is responsible for such delays.

We do offer optional insurance for your package at checkout.

Holiday Season

FedEx may waive on-time delivery guarantees due to the shear volume of boxes in the network system.

We advise ordering and shipping early during peak seasons, especially frozen items you can store with ease!

Unfortunately, changes and additions to orders already placed during the busy holiday season are not allowed or accepted.

Holiday orders must be placed on line during peak delivery times, we are not able to accept phone orders during the busy holiday season.

1. Provide accurate shipping information to avoid delays and additional charges, FED EX does charge for address corrections that will be billed to the customer.
2. Please notify recipients of perishable deliveries, you don't have to tell them what it is but give them a heads up something perishable is coming!
3. Monitor local weather conditions that may affect delivery and let us know if you have concerns!
4. Please ensure someone is available to receive the package.

At Lobsterguy, we are committed to not only sustainable fishery practices, but also with our shipping practices!
In lots of cases your styrofoam shipping box can be reused for cooler type uses, and your frozen gel packs can be stored in your freezer for reuse over and over!
The frozen gel packs we use to keep your order cold are great for a multitude of uses, from picnic lunches to keeping your beer cold, road trips with perishables, camping trips you name it!
Just lay them in your freezer flat to refreeze them in between uses and they will last a long long time!
All oyster knives, clam knives, and lobster pick sets can be washed and dried and stored for future use as well!
